Dies ist die einzigste bei j.b.music produzierte CD von dem Gemischten Chor "The Philippine Women's University Chorale". Dieser Chor wurde im Jahre 2003 aufgelöst. Die Aufnahmen entstanden im Jahre 2001 in der Ev. Kirche in Hilchenbach (Siegerland / NRW).

The Philippine Womens University (P.W.U.) Chorale
Der P.W.U. Chor wurde von Dekan Francisco Feliciano des Philippine Womens University College of Music und von der Kanzlerin Dolore Lasan gegründet. Seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 1998 wird er von Robert Delgado dirigiert.
Der P. W.U. Chor hat nationale Wettbewerbe in den Philippinen gewonnen und tritt regelmäßig in Opern und Oratorien bei der Phlippine Womens University und im Cultural Center der Philippinen auf. Diese Europatournee ist die erste Überseetour. Der Chor wird teilnehmen an einem Festival in Padua (Italien) und an Wettstreiten in Vesprem (Ungarn) und Cantonigros (Spanien).

Robert Delgado, Dirigent
Robert Delgado ist ein langjähriges Mitglied der weltbekannten "Philippine Madrigal Singers" und betätigte sich während seines Studiums zum Komponisten an der University of the Philippines College of Music als Arrangeur für den Chor. Er begleitete die "Philippine Madrigal Singers", als diese alle ersten Preise gewannen bei den Wettbewerben im Jahr 1989 in Gorizia (Italien), Neuchatel (Schweiz), Cantonigros (Spanien), Spittal (Österreich) und Marktoberdorf (Deutschland). Weiterhin erwarb er sich 1995 die höchste Auszeichnung an der Associated Board of the Royal School of Music, London. Inspiriert durch die Komposition von Allen Pote, schuf Robert seine eigene Version des "Prayer of Saint Francis", das 1990 von den Philippine Madrigal Singers ins Repertoire aufgenommen wurde und mittlerweile von zahleichen Chören weltweit gesungen wird, wobei die beeindruckenden Vorträge die Handschrift des Dirigenten tragen.
Neben seiner Tätigkeit als Dirigent des P.W.U. Chorale leitet Robert auch verschiedene Chöre der Regierung. Außerdem arbeitet er als Berater bei Universitätschören und als Lektor für Musiktheorie an der De La Salle Universität in Manila.. Kürzlich veröffentlichte er eine Ausarbeitung und eine CD über seine Arrangements.

The Philippine Womens University (P.W.U.) Chorale
The P.W.U. Chorale was established through the efforts of Dean Francisco Feliciano of the Philippine Womens University College of Music and Chancellor Dolores Lasan. The choir has been under the direction of Robert Delgado since its inception in 1998. To date, the P.W.U. Chorale has won in national competitions in the Philippines, and regularly performs in opera and oratorio productions of the Philippine Womens University and the Cultural Center of the Philippines. This European tour is the groups first overseas tour. The choir will be participating in a festival in Padova, Italy and competitions in Vesprem, Hungary and Cantonigros, Spain.

Robert Delgado, Conductor
Robert is an alumnus of the world-renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers, serving as resident arranger to the group while studying composition at the University of the Philippines College of Music. He was with the group when it won in all first prizes in the competitions it joined in 1989, in Gorizia (Italy), Neuchatel (Switzerland), Cantonigros (Spain), Spittal (Austria), and Marktoberdorf (Germany). He also garnered the highest marking at the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music, London in 1995. Inspired by the composition of Allen Pote, Robert created his own version of the Prayer of Saint Francis, popularized by the Philippine Madrigal Singers in 1990, and now sung by numerous choirs in all of the concert halls around the world, binding their touching performances with its signature hand movements.
Apart from being the conductor of the P.W.U. Chorale, Robert also handles various government choirs. He also serves as a choral consultant to university college choirs and a lecturer of Music Theory at the De La Salle University, Manila. He has also recently released a publication and compact disc recording of his choral arrangements.
